Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and UNPUBLISHED and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, explain it in the "Comments to the editor."
  • The submission file should be in Microsoft Word.
  • URLs for references were provided when possible.
  • The text has leading spacing 1,5; uses a 12-point font, employs italics, rather than underlining (except URL addresses). It should also insert figures and tables included in the text – cited the source - and not at the end of the document in the form of attachments.
  • The text follows the requirements described in Guidelines for Authors on the About the Journal page.
  • In case of submission to a peer-reviewed section (e.g. articles), the instructions available in Ensuring blind peer review were followed.

Author Guidelines

Those interested in submitting manuscripts to the Journal of the Revista do Tribunal Regional do Trabalho da 7ª Região should register with the SEER publishing system (https://revistas.trt7.jus.br/REVTRT7/user/register), indicating the links to their CVs on the Lattes Platform (for Brazilian authors), CNPq and ORCID.

In addition to the standards of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT) for references and citations, the journal adopts those that are specific to the journal itself and which are included in its Calls for Papers.

The texts must comply with the following conditions for receiving scientific papers:

  • Unpublished: the TRT 7th Region Journal publishes unpublished scientific papers that have not been published elsewhere (blogs, websites, conference and/or seminar proceedings, or other types of publications).
  • Languages: Authors can submit their work in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
  • Requirements for the author: the journal accepts work by authors with a minimum Bachelor's degree, as long as it is co-authored with a PhD or Master's degree holder.
  • Funding: The author must inform the journal of any funding, research grants or benefits received, from commercial or non-commercial sources, declaring that there is no conflict of interest that would compromise the work presented.

FORM AND PRESENTATION OF PAPERS

The scientific texts competing for publication under the terms of this notice must be unpublished in Brazil; between 15 and 20 pages long; in Word format, extension ".DOC", observing the publication standards and publishing parameters set out below; A4 paper, without identifying the author, observing the following rules:

I. Formatting:

1. Top and left margins 3 cm and bottom and right margins 2 cm;
2. Times New Roman font;
3. In the text: 1.5 cm spacing between lines;
4. In references: single spacing, 1.0 between lines;
5. Paragraphs indented by 1.5 cm;
6. 6.0 pt spacing between paragraphs;
7. Title of the work: font size 14 Uppercase Bold;
8. Subtitles: 12 Lowercase Bold;
9. Subheadings: 12 lowercase italics;
     1. Sub-subheadings: 12 lower case underlined;
      2. There should be no page breaks between headings and subheadings;

12. Pages should not be numbered.


II. Structure:

1. Title: concise and without abbreviations, in the language of the text (and subtitle if there is one) in size 14, centered, capitalized and bold;
2. Title: in English (and subtitle if there is one), in size 14, italics, centered, capitalized and bold, inserted immediately after the title in the language of the text;
3. Abstract: the word "Abstract" in bold, with only the first letter capitalized, separated from the text by a "colon". The abstract must contain a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 250 words, in the following order: introduction, justification, objective(s), description of the methodology, results and conclusions;
4. Keywords: in the language of the text, separated from the abstract by one character; with the term "Keywords" in bold, followed by a minimum of three and a maximum of six words that represent the content of the text, spelled in lower case, with the exception of proper names, and separated by a semicolon;
5. Abstract: the term "Abstract" in bold italics must be separated from the text of the abstract by a colon. The abstract in English must be a faithful translation of the abstract in the language of the article.
6. Keywords in English: the term "Keywords" in bold italics, followed by a minimum of three and a maximum of six words that represent the content of the text, spelled in lower case, with the exception of proper names, and separated by a semicolon;
7. The system adopted is author-date-page. Comments and other annotations should appear in footnotes;
8. Only one version of the article will be accepted. The author must carry out any revision he/she deems necessary, including methodological, spelling and grammar, before submission.


III. Illustrations:

1. Graphs, maps and tables, drawings etc. should be numbered and titled as closely as possible to the element to which they refer, with the author necessarily indicating the source.
2. Images should be sent as separate files from the text in high resolution (300 dpi), in JPG or PNG format.

IV. Citations:

Citations throughout the text must comply with NBR 10520 - Informação e Documentação - Citações em documentos - Apresentação/Julho de 2023 - 2ª edição da ABNT and adopt the author-date system (and page, if any), according to which the author's surname or the name of the organization, the date and the page(s) of the publication from which the transcribed excerpt was taken are used.

1. Indirect or direct quotation without the author's name in the text: the author-date-page reference (complete) must appear in brackets.

2. Indirect or direct quotation with the author's name in the text: the year and page(s) of publication must be given in brackets.

Quotations of up to 3 (three) lines (Portuguese language) must remain in the body of the text, without indentation or highlighting, highlighted by quotation marks. If the quotation is in a foreign language, it must remain in the body of the text, without indentation or highlighting, highlighted in italics with quotation marks. Quotations of four (4) lines or more must be separated from the text with a paragraph indent of four (4) cm, 11 points, single line spacing and justified text, without the use of quotation marks. If the quotation is in a foreign language, it must be italicized. Literal quotations of up to 10 lines are acceptable.

Highlights: Highlights in the original work must be reproduced identically in the quotation. If there are no highlights in the original, but the author of the article wishes to emphasize some information, it is possible to use this resource, paying attention to the following rules.

1. Highlights in the original: after transcribing the quote, use the expression "emphasis(s) in the original" in brackets.

2. Highlights by the author of the article: after transcribing the quotation, use the expression "our emphasis" in brackets.

Footnotes: These should only contain additional information that cannot be included in the text. They should not be too long or contain quotations and should be formatted in the same font as the article, size 10, single line spacing and justified alignment.

V. References:

These are the sources used by the author and expressly mentioned in the text. References must comply with ABNT NBR 6023 - Information and Documentation - References - Elaboration (2018). This item must contain all the data necessary to identify the works, arranged in alphabetical order. The distinction between different works by the same author will be made taking into account the chronological order, according to the year of publication. Works by the same author and published in the same year will be distinguished by adding a letter to the end of the year (e.g. 2016-a, 2016-b). References should be single-spaced, aligned to the left margin of the text and separated from each other by a single-spaced blank line.

Como parte do processo de submissão, os autores são obrigados a verificar a conformidade da submissão em relação a todos os itens listados a seguir. As submissões que não estiverem de acordo com as normas serão devolvidas aos autores.

  • Certificar-se de que o texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na página Sobre a Revista.

  • Certificar-se de que os artigos deverão ser originais e inéditos, assim considerados aqueles que nunca foram publicados em qualquer fonte de divulgação

  • Certifica-se de que os artigos deverão ser apresentados em arquivo eletrônico, formatados de acordo com as normas da ABNT, em Word.

  • Certificar-se de que foi realizado o registro para apresentação de ORCID iD. O registro é gratuito, caso não tenha feito, pode ser obtido na URL: https://orcid.org/register. É obrigatório o registro de todos os autores do manuscrito, não apenas do primeiro autor.
