80 years of the Consolidation of Labor Laws as guardian of the human right to decent work

This study aims to analyze the advance of social protection and the phenomena of deregulation and flexibilization, in the context of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Consolidation of Labor Laws. The approach is qualitative, and based on a literature review. The content identifies labor justice as the guardian par excellence of the social value of work as an instrument of emancipation, citizenship, and the construction of identity, promoting the social protection of workers as a rule of law. It concludes by recognizing the Consolidation of Labor Laws as a living instrument for protecting guarantees and fundamental rights, especially in the face of the new dynamics of labor relations.
